School of Pharmacy Society: Treasurer

Having experience as current treasurer of SoP society, I can guarantee that we will make the most out of the society next academic year. I am a suitable candidate for this position as I am organised, I can communicate well with others, I can work well in a team, and I have prior knowledge from being treasurer and from my studies in economics to manage finances well. Having another year of uncertainty due to COVID has prevented us all from planning and participating in events, but as restrictions begin to loosen this means that we will have more upcoming freedom to hopefully get back on track to how SoP society was pre-COVID!

There were many things that we weren't able to do this year, but I want to use this opportunity for a fresh start to work in collaboration with the new committee next year to ensure that this society's members can make the most of it - this includes working in partnership with the president so that things run smoothly within the committee; liaising with the events officers so that we can offer the best events to our members; communicating with the welfare officer to help resolve any issues that SoP society members have.

Some of the events that I have in mind include: ice skating during winter, cultural events depending on time of year, webinars hosted by BPSA, and of course the BOAT PARTY!!

I hope that members feel confident enough to vote for me as treasurer to bring back the sense of community that we've been missing among our society.
