Martha Stasinaki

Hi everyone! I’m a first year Natural Sciences student, specialising in Astrophysics and Physical Chemistry. I joined UCL Salsa in October, and I very quickly fell in love with both salsa and bachata, and I would love to get even more involved with the society by having a role in the committee this coming year.
My experience in managing finances ranges from being treasurer for the major leaver’s events in my school, to being managing director of my Young Enterprise company and also managing our finances.

I will make sure to collaborate with the rest of the appointed committee to organise fun and affordable events that everyone can attend, and to ensure we all have a great time! :)

Aarushi Somani

Hey, I am Aarushi and I have been a part of the Salsa Society for almost a year now. Learning and doing salsa last term, made me realise that this form of dance makes me really happy. I tried bachata this term too and now I not only look forward to Tuesdays, but Mondays too.

By being a part of the committee, I want to make sure, each member of this society has an experience similar to mine, where everyone around is so friendly and helpful, where we can all have fun and learn so much at the same time.

Being a Statistics, Economics and Finance student, I am very confident in numbers and handling budgets. I interned with Bloomberg and also an organisation called Responsible Charity where I dealt with a lot of numbers and financial information and budgeting which boosted my confidence. My communication and time management skills are one of my strongest suits and I believe the role of the treasurer fits me best as I am not only passionate about getting more involved in the world of salsa, but also really good with finances, payments and keeping a record of all the financial information.

Ginevra Ramella Pollone

Hi, I am Ginny.

Since I started dancing salsa and bachata I have been loving it more and more. Not only it is a fun activity, but it also integrates important skills such as partnership work, adaptation, and technique.

As a Treasurer I will give my support in leading and improving the society: I am a perfectionist and I like to be efficient and organised.

Last summer I worked as a manager of finances in a company. Here I was involved in executive decisions for the team leadership.
It was a lot of work and commitment but a formative experience too.

I am confident I have what it takes to handle this role and I am eager to learn more about being on a Committee.
