Matvei Shchilov

I remembered that there was an election less than an hour before the nominations were closed so I did not have time to make a very appealing text.

To be honest, I don’t think that the position of treasurer is very important at the current stage of the Quant society. It is just simply too small to afford large events that require a strict budgeting and the majority of society members seem to be more interested in hackathons, competitions outside of UCL and learning more about quant.

Therefore, I believe that a person to become a Quant society treasurer should be not so much a very good treasurer but a valuable member of a team that will help organize hackathons and other activities of the society.

In terms of treasuring, by the end of this academic year I will have completed an Accounting module. I also have some experience with bank transactions and basic paperwork.

In terms of helping organize society activities, I have used Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and other graphic software and can help promote Quant society and its activities. I also have experience with C/C++/Python to help with the technical part of organizing the hackathons.
