Netball Club (RUMS): President

Hi everyone, I’m Immy and I would really love to be your netball president for next year! You may have seen me this year running around as your treasurer and also member of the 3s team. I’m in 4th year now and have been in netball since my freshers week so the club means a lot to me and is a big part of my time at uni. If I were president I would put my all into ensuring the club continues to be the amazing experience it has been for me and all its members!

I’ve learned a lot about the organisational side of the club and the union through working as treasurer, which would help me start running the club well from the get-go. I’ve also been on committee as captain and social sec, so I’m in a good place to understand all aspects of what we do as a club. Whether it’s competitive netball, sports night and tour, or charity events, I would enter into this position understanding elements of all activities that netball members are looking for. 

I think this year netball needs a bit of a shake up and a push to keep getting us back to how we were pre-covid. I would hope to do this in a way that benefits everyone in the club and to listen to everyone’s opinions on what we can do. If you vote me in, I hope to work alongside the rest of committee to facilitate the club to remain a happy and great experience for every member!
