Zahra Ahmed

It is hard to know where to start looking when trying to find research opportunities, especially in preclinical years. I want to make this easier by providing contacts to students within their speciality of interest to some of the great academic doctors and scientists we have at our UCL hospitals and labs. I want to help students live up to the UCL promise of disruptive thinking. I am also keen to provide tutorials on how to formulate certain research papers including audits and teach essential stats revision lectures. I have research experience including writing reviews such as one on the use of ketamine for conscious sedation in children's surgery and I have also set up a database examining pregnancy outcomes for women with inflammatory rheumatic disease. I have been nominated for the Wolfson iBSC award for students likely to pursue a career in medical research and have a passion for medical research. UCL is a science-heavy MBBS programme and I want students to use their skills to gain research opportunities that are great for applications beyond medical school and are extremely exciting! Vote for Zahra for more research opportunities, stats tutorials and social media posts on recent medical research happening here at UCL.
