Nordic Society: President

Hei kaikki! I'm Ella, a 2nd-year psychology student, and I'd love to run for president. I've been a member of nordic soc for 2 years and would like to take on the challenge of running the society. I have committee experience from other societies to bring to the table, and I am generally very organised and a people person.

I'm half-Finnish, half-English and would love to encourage other students with Nordic links like me & those simply interested in the Nordics to join the society and learn about the region and culture. I've enjoyed meeting other Finns through the society to keep my links to home while at uni, so it would be great for others to experience something similar.

Regarding vision, a priority would be to grow our society further and continue putting language lessons & events on for members. These are brilliant resources to strengthen the Nordic presence at UCL. As a committee, I would also ensure we organise socials throughout the year to attract new members and create bonds within the society. 

I'm excited to see what next year's Nordic Society brings, hopefully as your president!
