Salomé Elmalem

Hello! My name is Salomé Elmalem and I am a first year PPE student, going into second year. 

I am running for President of the Friends Of Israel society as I am looking to renew its current status and the activities it offers. 

I would first like to launch the Israel Tech trip. It would consist in a trip centred around tech, innovation and entrepreneurship in Israel, which enables students to engage in talks with researchers, start-ups, businesses, and universities, as well discover the Israeli culture. This trip will be prioritised for people who have never been to Israel and would like to advance their careers in the tech and entrepreneurship world. This would be an amazing opportunity and exciting new launch for the society. It is going to be the society’s main project next year, which will hopefully continue running in the following years! 

This trip has been successfully organised at Imperial and LSE for the past few years, so it would be nice to run it at UCL.

I would also like to set up more social events, cultural and educational talks, as well as nights out! 

It would be an honour to be able to hold this role and organise such events. I am also open to suggestions and more ideas! 

I am really looking forward to get started on the trip and on all other projects!
