I am standing because I am passionate about genetics and educating people on this wonderful topic.

I have worked in the Institute of Healthy Ageing in my first and second year, and worked with fly mutants during that time. Currently, I am working on 3 isogenic fly lines with differences in their mitochondrial genomes.

I have given talks as well, showing my interest in contributing outside of research. At the Cumberland Lodge trip (2023), I talked about my work on worms in the IHA. This academic year, I gave a talk to the Genetics Society about my research.

I look forward to helping the Genetics Society this year.
