As a child of immigrant parents, I understand the struggles and anxieties first-generation students face making their way through university. I am, however, lucky to have older siblings who have made this journey slightly easier and, as I take on this role, I would like to ease this journey for you too. A lot of expectation is burdened upon us and having a place to relieve that stress is what I would strive to provide. I am confident I will hear your concerns and provide a solution or comfort when necessary. As a former volunteer at a care home, I have spent many hours patiently listening to people and making sure their needs were taken care of. I am also experienced in communicating with people and making myself approachable. My main aim will be to help you through your issues and make you comfortable through this transition. University is not easy and helping each other out through this journey is what we need, and I will offer my best efforts to provide you with support.
