Election post
I am eager to be the Vice President of the Energy Society because I am deeply passionate about not just sustainable energy and its potential to shape our future, but energy sources and transmission, as well as developments in the energy industry as a whole. I'll outline two key reasons that highlight my commitment and qualifications for this role.
Firstly, my academic background aligns seamlessly with the Energy Society's mission. As an Electrical Engineering student, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the scientific and technological aspects of energy production and consumption. This knowledge equips me to contribute valuable insights and foster informed discussions within the society.
Secondly, my experience in leadership and organizing events will be an asset to the Energy Society. Before arriving at university, I held multiple leadership positions in college and had successfully coordinated several club meetings and events, some of which were not just within the club, but involved other clubs as well, showcasing my organizational skills and ability to coordinate between different groups to ensure the success of a project. As the Vice President, I intend to leverage these skills to plan engaging activities, workshops to give them a firsthand experience at working with different forms of energy production and storage (e.g., solar cells and lithium batteries), and seminars that educate members about the latest advancements in sustainable energy.
