In the past, I have worked on projects related to sustainable energy and their production. As the research lead in these teams, I have studied many research papers and have familiarised myself with the ongoing developments in the field of global energy systems. When I attended the weekly discussions of the UCL Energy Society, I was very happy to find a group of enthusiasts from different fields wanting to learn and potentially contribute to designing the future energy models. This made me want to join the team as a research associate and contribute in creating content for the society’s events.

As an enthusiast and a learner in this field, I have the understanding of what we want to know more of and how to create a balance between the technical and non-technical aspects of the field, so that the topic gets explored equally for all disciplines. Furthermore, I also want to create topics for design-thinking events based on current news and statistics.

Being a research associate in the society will give me the platform I need to build up on my knowledge, extend my horizon and explore the best and new ideas, so that we can all learn, discuss and design innovative energy-solutions together.
