Election post
As a fourth-year mechanical engineering student, I can bring a strong awareness and technical understanding of various sustainable energy sources, a crucial aspect of my degree. My recent project involved designing a device capable of harnessing green energy from fluid flow through oscillations—an innovation I am eager to share with the UCL Energy Society.
My internship with McDermott has equipped me with practical insights into the engineering challenges associated with energy provision. I believe the knowledge gained from this experience would be of use to the society in spreading a deeper understanding of real-world applications and challenges in the energy sector.
Driven by a genuine passion for sustainable energy provision and fuelled by my personal goal of a career in renewable energy, I am motivated to conduct extensive research for the society. I am confident that my blend of technical background, hands-on experience, and general enthusiasm makes me a fitting candidate for the role of a research associate and for the opportunity to contribute to the society.
