Share Community is working with UCL to offer a one-day volunteering opportunity where UCL students can join us and work with our service users to take part in a Masterchef Challenge!
UCL Student Volunteers will be paired with our service users to work in teams of two and compete for the ‘Share & UCL MasterChef trophy’!
Volunteers will get a chance to take part in a fun and interactive team challenge: in pairs you will be given a set of ingredients and a recipe to follow, and you'll need to work as a team with our service user to replicate the recipe in the time allowed. All Volunteers and service users will then have a chance to try their food and have it judged by Share staff.
There will be other fun activities on the day and the opportunity to get to know all our Staff and service users. UCL Student Volunteers will be supported throughout by trained delivery staff and our Volunteer Coordinator will be there all day to support the event.
Plus, we will be using some of the baked treats to fundraise as part of Share Community's Macmillan Coffee Morning. We're hosting the event to show our service-users how they can be active members of their community and help out other good causes.
We are 336 is a fully wheelchair accessible building, and the kitchen is accessible.
