What to expect from a Project Active Give it a Go Session:
Our 'Give it a Go' sessions are designed to be:
- Beginner friendly (no experience is needed)
- Low commitment
- Inclusive and welcoming
- A great place for making new friends!
- A great way to try something new
During the session participants should expect to have a short running warm up followed by some stretching. We will then go through the basics of hockey, like how to hold a stick and do different kinds of passing, and then we’ll play a short game at the end!
Location: Whitefield School, Claremont Road,NW2 1TR
Equipment: All equipment will be provided for in the class, please bring a water bottle with you, there is a fountain at the venue.
Meet Point: Look out for Aine (the beginners’ team captain) or Eleni (the President). We will meet by the Portico in the main quad at 15:50 and leave by around 16:05 to make our way to the pitch together (dm us @uclwhc on Instagram if you have any questions!)
What to wear: Wear clothing that allows for flexibility of movement and shoes that are suitable for running.
What to bring: Please bring a water bottle, hockey sticks and shin pads will be provided!
