A fun-filled evening of bioethical debates discussions and problem solving.
The STEMathon will consist of two consecutive bioethical debates from a total of four teams (one on each side for each debate), followed by (if time permits) additional bioethical problem-solving endeavours!
Participants can either choose to actively take part in the debate by being on a team (limited spaces) or join in the discussions and questions as an audience member.
This is NOT a competitive debate and we welcome students from all backgrounds and skill levels to participate. The goal of this STEMathon is to hear everyone's perspective to gain a better understanding of bioethical issues, not to declare an ultimate winner.
We have invited a multitude of UCL professors who are respective experts in their fields to provide insight and feedback upon our discussions and debates!
Specific topics will only be released during the STEMathon to allow all participants an equal playing field.
