Ciel (Ceci) Sheridan

I’m Ceci (or Ciel), and I’m standing for President of RAX! This past year I’ve been RAX’s Treasurer, and the year before the Outreach Officer- two exciting roles that allowed me to contribute to making RAX the inclusive and enjoyable club it is. As a cross country, track, and social runner (shout-out 8k group!), I’ve had the chance to meet amazing people from all sides of RAX. It’s been my goal this year to unify these groups through initiatives such as the UCL East Medley Relay, which developed my leadership and organization skills. As President, I would continue connecting these groups, whilst also working to provide exciting opportunities to improve your running and charity opportunities like the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I have also aided in strengthening RAX participation in TeamUCL campaigns, such as the Men’s Mental Health Run led by our XC Captain- initiatives I believe are important in aiding the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of RAXers. As President, I would continue to establish our participation in these campaigns, with added attention to those we have missed out on like Black History Month and Pride Month.

Through my roles in RAX, I have developed strong connections to other university running clubs, advocated for RAX to the SU, and most importantly, met all of you amazing runners. It has been immensely rewarding to contribute to making RAX a positive experience, and I would love the opportunity to continue doing so as next year’s President.
