I’m standing for xc captain because I genuinely love cross country - as anyone who’s heard me cheer at LUCA can confirm- and want to encourage more people to embrace the mud and hills !!
I’ve loved cross country with RAX this season and as captain I want to continue our LUCA dominance, as well as:
- leading grass sessions pre LUCA & BUCS for anyone who is unsure about xc to get experience with the terrain
- organising a trip to Manchester for the Ron Hill xc relays in October
- helping parliament hill xc run smoothly
I have experience in setting up and marshalling xc courses, and good connections with other London uni teams which is key to making LUCA a success (and organising the post-race pub trip!)
For people not yet converted to cross country, I am also very dedicated to social runs. I consistently turn up to Monday and Wednesday and can be relied on to lead or be a friendly face
