Drishti Sambre

Hi, my name is Drishti and I am running for Welfare Officer.

Since joining Pure Krav Maga this year, I have discovered the value of self defence and how empowering it is for people to attend classes and learn these skills. I have witnessed the positive impact that learning Krav can have on mental and physical well-being and hope to be able to give back to the society and members by becoming the next Welfare Officer.

As Welfare Officer, I will strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for our members, ensuring that they feel welcome and respected in the society. I have good interpersonal and communication skills, which are essential for me to establish a good rapport and trust within the committee and with our members. This will allow me to become a friendly point of contact who people feel comfortable enough approaching with any concerns or suggestions, while also being someone to go to for advice or support.

I am also committed to prioritising the mental and physical health of all our members. These classes have given me a space to clear my head while learning self-defense, and I want to provide this same space for others. I aim to support the committee and members by hosting regular check-ins and providing resources to practice self-care and mindfulness both inside and outside classes, allowing us to continue building a community where everyone feels valued.
