My name is Tanvi, and I'm a theoretical physics student. Since my 1st year, I've engaged with physics at UCL in various ways - attending guest talks, lectures, and helping out with the department PANDA day too. I would like to give back to the Physics Society by nominating myself as treasurer.

As a current committee member of the Physics Society, I have first-hand experience with how it runs, and a wealth of ideas to make the direction smoother. I have communicated frequently with the Student’s Union regarding society matters, and I am familiar and comfortable with their approval processes.

I am meticulous and used to society paperwork, which is essential for the administrative duties that come with the role of treasurer. I have a list of sponsors and funding sources that I have already begun contacting - I have a clear vision of how to allocate our money to make our events shine:

- Increasing budget for academic workshops and talks, inviting guest lecturers from other universities

- Working together with sponsors to promote careers in finance/tech

- Funding for external trips (research labs, academic conferences, etc.)

- Making Physics society merch affordable and excellent

If elected, I am looking forward to working with everyone on the committee to create a society that has a positive, widespread reach throughout the university.
