Over the last year, I have worked hard to grow the UCL Radiology Society from its grassroots up. Since taking up the role of Chair and Vice-Chair, I have transformed this society into hosting a series of events and conferences that has inspired curiosity for this exciting speciality.

My most notable achievement to date has been hosting the very first London Undergraduate Radiology Conference here at UCL, with 95% attendees reporting they thoroughly enjoyed the conference and would attend future conferences. Alongside this, I created a national teaching series in collaboration with other radiology societies across the country to help medical students solidfy their radiology skills.

My aims for the next academic year:

  • Mentorship schemes where we assign clinical medical students to teach small groups on radiology in the medical school curriculum
  • Organising research opportunities to allow students to work with clinical radiologists on research projects to enhance their portfolio
  • Radiology lecture series to allow students to get a flavour of the different subspecialities within the field of radiology and promote networking opportunities
  • Hosting a National Undergraduate Radiology Conference, collaborating with multiple Radiology Societies across the country, that builds upon the event in our inaugural year
