As a first year law student, I've experienced the challenge of accessing the legal sector during our academic journey, crucial for pursuing career opportunities like vacation schemes. Drawing from my attendance at commercial awareness events, including in-person sessions and virtual podcasts, I'm committed to ensuring all UCL students gain valuable insights into the legal sector.

The LfA society's commercial awareness podcast and newsletter are invaluable resources, enhancing understanding and keeping students informed about legal industry developments. As Commercial Awareness Officer, I aim to expand and enhance these resources, making them accessible to all UCL students and encouraging contributions from diverse academic backgrounds.

As the Commercial Awareness Officer, I aim to:

1. Improve LfA's podcast and newsletter to offer comprehensive content suitable for students from all disciplines.

2. Implement strategies to make commercial awareness resources accessible to all UCL students, regardless of their academic background.

  3. Solicit contributions and feedback from the wider UCL community to ensure diverse perspectives are represented in our content.

  4. Partner with external organizations and industry professionals to enrich our commercial awareness initiatives with additional insights.

Together, we can empower a more knowledgeable and confident student body, extending our impact beyond the legal sector.
