Having spent almost 15 years of my life in the Kurdistan region of Iraq has given me an excellent exposure to the culture and traditions us Kurds share.

I want to use my understanding of our culture to help spread awareness of our traditions and heritage as well as help others keep in touch with their culture.

As the president, I’d be very keen to organize Kurdish lessons for both reading and writing, traditional Kurdish dinners and picnics (especially during the summer and spring months) as well as going all out during March every year through both helping organize Newroz parties as well as quiz and traditional game nights,
