As an avid (amateur) knitter, I bring not only organisational skills, but also a deep passion for the craft to the role of Events Officer. Knitting has been a cherished hobby of mine, offering me a creative outlet and sense of relaxation amidst the demands of academics.

Running for Events Officer, I look forward to organising events that cater to members of all skill levels. These initiatives aim to draw in more like-minded individuals, providing opportunities for us to bond.

One such event could be a Fashion Show showcasing knit and crochet garments crafted by our members. This would celebrate our society's creativity, while serving as inspiration for future projects.

With my background as an Events Executive Committee member for TEDxYouth and as the founder of a successful service project, I believe I am well-equipped to take on this role. My event planning and problem-solving skills have enabled me to orchestrate multiple successful campaigns to collect and donate shoes to countries in need. Through effective delegation and meticulous planning, we made a tangible impact on communities worldwide.

As a Knitting Society member for the past academic year, I loved attending the workshops and socials, where I could learn more about the craft, and make new friends. The sense of community I felt was inspiring, and the prospect of being able to foster that same sense of camaraderie within Knitting Society next year is exciting.
