Anabela Henrique Santos

Hello, I am Anabela! I started crocheting a few years ago and picked up knitting in this society. I would like to be a charities officer for KnitSoc because I am very passionate about using our skills for the common good and spreading awareness of the work of charities through our work. I believe that we can share our love for crafts with others, and in doing so help those in need. Some ideas that I currently have include making squares to make blankets and garments which can be donated to different charities, as well as crafting with seniors- but I am open to hearing all ideas! I have experience working with charities, such as helping run a charity shop for the North London Hospice, so I believe I have the knowledge surrounding charity work as well as the communication skills and compassion required for this role.
