I'm Ashley from Y2 Geography! Some of you may recognise me from our hikes, residential trips, or socials. I took on the role as Secretary and Walk Leader last year, and I'm running for Comms Officer this year!

WHY ME

  1. Understanding of club operations (part of the AY2324 committee)
    As Secretary and Walk Leader, I know how the club operates behind the scenes. I've also worked closely with the previous comms officer, and understand the demands of the role. If I am elected, I can jump straight into the job!
     
  2. Experienced in publicity roles and well-versed in social media
    Part of many social media teams, I've publicised for charities, societies, and more. I've got an eye for detail and design, and can produce posts, videos, and newsletters in record speeds, super important given our jam-packed events schedule!

MY PLANS: Get members involved in communications!
The committee should not be the only people featured on our socials! I want to increase member involvement, engagement, and contribution to our social media and any potential publications or newsletters we put out.

I'll create a space for members to submit reviews/reflections of our events, or even more personal stories about nature or hiking to be posted on our various platforms. This would not only ensure we get active feedback on our events, but also allow us to get to know one another better :)
