Elected

Having started playing golf last year, my status as a fellow novice offers a unique advantage as Outreach Officer. Empathising with the challenges new players face, I aim to promote open communication, ensuring that beginners’ concerns are heard and addressed.

Embracing the holistic interpretation of "outreach," my vision extends beyond external sponsorships but to internal efforts to connect novices and experienced golfers. Breaking the barriers between members would enhance the experience of all players, promoting a platform where experienced players can share their insights while contributing to and networking with the growing community of golfers in UCL.

My experience in securing substantial sponsorships for other student bodies attests to my capabilities. While the context may differ, the skills I've honed in identifying, and negotiating with large sponsors are highly transferable, and position me as a reliable asset for the Society.

Being a law student further fortifies my candidacy. My familiarity with deciphering the intricacies of documents, and the fact that I have to read fine print for a living soon (hopefully), ensures a meticulous approach to the role.

To conclude, my candidacy is grounded in a genuine passion for golf, prioritisation of community, and prior experience securing sponsorships. Eager to contribute to the Society’s growth, I aim to create a vibrant environment for all players.
