Growing up in Kuala Lumpur, where futsal has become a part of my everyday life, I have led my team in futsal tournaments ever since my teenage years, experiencing highs and lows, and exposing me and my team to various skilled players in Malaysia. I have always been driven by my passion for football and have instilled a winning mentality in myself and my teammates, to lead us to glory.
I have had the privilege of being a part of the TeamUCL Mens Futsal team, where everyone in the team has shown full support and trust in my ability in my role, to contribute to the team.
I always have an open line of communication within a team, commanding the team on or off the court, as I believe a well-communicated team is essential to winning. This has given me realisation and vision, where I believe in my ability to lead and guide the TeamUCL Mens Futsal team, as a platform to express my leadership skills and guide the team with my experiences to winning leagues in London and BUCS.
As a team captain, I would love to extend beyond the role and build personal bonds with my teammates so that the group feels more like a team as a result of inclusivity. I hope to bring in and welcome new players from social sessions to strengthen the team where needed in the coming academic year. I would like to make sure that the work from my team is put in from the get-go, as it is fundamental to success that the team is consistent, disciplined and structured in training sessions and competitive matches.
