With Drag Society being a society inherently based in queer culture, I think it’s doubly important to create an inclusive, safe and judgement-free environment. A good welfare team is integral to ensure that the society runs in line with everyone’s best interest, and is welcoming to people from all demographics and backgrounds.  

I firmly believe in the power of strong support systems, whether that be offering an ear to someone that needs it, or advocating for wider policies that promote aid and accessibility. By serving as a welfare officer, I hope to collaborate with fellow society and community members to implement systems in place that prioritise the well-being of everyone involved.
