Abishah Sooriyakumar

I've been a proud member of dodgeball for 2 years now and I've recently joined the competitive team too. I'd love to be a part of committee now and help give back to the society I've had so much fun being in. 

I feel the social media secretary role is best suited to me as I have good background particularly in this:

- Being the Medical Student Society's general secretary, the past year has helped me navigate and learn how to make instagram posts and stories.

- I'm an administrator, which has helped me improve my time management and communication skills which will be useful when juggling committee work and sending message to members. 

- I'm also an avid videographer and love to film everything. I'd love to use this opportunity to put my skills use and show you the best dodgeball videos ever!

I would say my creativity and artistic flair is one of my biggest strengths and hence in my role I'd love to potentially introduce a monthly dodgeball newsletter which includes everything from competitions to the fiery last man standing contest. In addition to using the instagram account, I'd use the newsletter to make hard working members shine and showcase the many amazing feats that occur!

Dodgeball has been my safe space for two years, and I'd love to share that with many more people and show them why dodgeball would also be amazing for them.
