Tia Chasey

Hello! My name is Tia and I study Pharmacology. I would LOVE to be your next dance soc president to strengthen the community and foster a better sense of belonging. Everybody should feel like they have the opportunity to shine, whether that be through comps, shows or classes! 

This year, I have had a fab time as social sec, meaning I have a good understanding of the dance soc calendar, the way committee roles interlink and some of the SU forms. Within my role, I introduced the christmas party and tour again whilst addressing what you were wanting from the socials! Now, I am more aware of last minute issues and how they should be addressed, with the societies’ needs at the forefront of decision-making. Being highly organised (current comm members can vouch for my google drive) and a successful manager for 16 year old roadmen (speaks volumes imo) will contribute to a smooth presidency.

I am very motivated and enthusiastic about making dance soc the fun, safe space that we ALL need. My passion (and FOMO) for dance is evident through my participation in comps, classes and shows over the past 2 years + getting to know lots of peeps! 

As a fresher coming into dance soc, it can be overwhelming so the introduction of an info pack is needed. I would work closely with ArtsUCL to pursue more outside opportunities and collaborate with other societies. I would be an approachable contact source for any concerns (or just a friendly chat)
