Being a founder of the first performing arts club in the sixth form college allowed me to produce a total of 4 shows in 2 years. Because my college was heavily academic, the only possible way for this to happen was to be full of passion, as every single show had to be original, made from scratch, and without any support.

Taking a gap year before entering UCL allowed me to realise how much I needed “stage” in my life, which made me participate in every single show of UCL Dance Society since the start of year 1. The more I participated in shows, the more I was interested in producing a show again by watching producers organise and express their creativity through their shows. The moment I saw the theme reveal of Blooms at the end of 24-hours Show, my goal for the year in Dance Society was to be involved in Blooms in any kind of way, not only to be on the stage, but to watch how this show is built by the production team.

Observing and being involved in the creation of Blooms gave me no hesitation in applying for Blooms producer for next year, as I dare say it gave me one of the best chills and pleasures ever. It made me want to know the whole process of creating this show, including all the backstage work. With my college production experience, which was full of passion but lacked support of all kinds, I would love to show what I can create in a much better condition with the support I am able to get.
