Hello everyone! I would like to nominate myself for the position of welfare officer. I believe that my experiences as part of the committee this year have helped me develop a deep understanding of the needs and difficulties faced by members of the Spanish and Latin American community at UCL, whether it be in terms of language barriers, cultural differences, or access to resources. Additionally, I consider myself to be an empathetic individual and could build a close-knitted community where our members will be able to approach me to communicate their worries with utmost trust and confidentiality.
I have no doubt that together we will be able to create a welcoming community that serves for the interests of its members and will help everyone enjoy their university experience to the fullest.
