Sports has always played a part in Sikhi with physical health being an important aspect. Thus if elected to this position, I hope to be able to promote this wellbeing with events like football and badminton throughout the year. Furthemore, sports is also a great way to socialise and meet new people within the community not just from this university but nationally when competing in competitions with other Sikh society sports teams. This is why I recognise the importance of sports within the society and hope to be able to allow it to prosper if given the opportunity.
