Election post
Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji ki Fateh. I am Hannah Kaur, and I am currently a first-year student in BSc. Bioprocessing of New Medicines (Business and Management). I am applying for the role of President because Sikhi has given me a lot and I believe that having this role would put me in a position where I will be able to give back to it.
Being an international student, my biggest fear was that moving abroad will somehow turn me away from my Guru as I might get distracted and follow a path that I wasn’t meant to be on. But He does take care of his kids, doesn’t He! I felt so privileged to be an FYR for the society and be a part of a community that was all about love for Waheguru.
If I become the president, I would, by God’s Grace, try to make sure that this legacy is carried on. This would include on-campus Kirtan Durbars, Langar on Campus, meet and greets, talks, and career events. New initiatives would include: -

- Weekly Path sessions- Baani translation and explanation.
- Weekly Simran and meditation sessions: Early morning (Amrit vela).
- Gurudwara trips every Sunday.
- New topics for talks- Amrit, Rebirths, Karma, and each would be followed by a Q and A session.
- Mentorship programs with well-established Sikh alumni.
