Khalifa Hussain

As an active member, my experiences with the people and the society as a whole have propelled me to take on a larger role. My experiences with volunteering enabled me to understand the importance of fundraising and spreading the word and having generated revenue for Oxfam and taking on more students for Explore Learning (a tutoring company) by joining them on days where they have to go out and promote, I believe I have the skill set needed for this role. Additionally, the friendships and contacts I have made during my first terms at UCL I think would be invaluable to the society (DesiBeatz) in terms of spreading awareness about the events we will be holding - an asset that will not only promote what we do but bring on more members. By working closely with the contacts I have already made relationships can be further maintained for the society for the coming years which is instrumental for the society. 

I am organised, committed and have great interpersonal skills all of which i think would be needed for the role of sales officer.
