Even as a newly set-up society, attending events held by the inaugural committee has been heartening. The PHSS provides an exciting platform to discuss health happenings of the past, present, and future. I want to share my passion for health with everyone, and I hope to do so as the treasurer of PHSS.

As the treasurer of PHSS, I will work closely alongside the rest of the committee to bring everyone more events and opportunities. The PHSS will likely run more events next year, which require proper tracking and handling of society funds. The treasurer, therefore, plays a critical role in ensuring that PHSS can deliver the best events to all its members. Our finances - from membership fees and more - should be used to enhance our members' experience. My past leadership experiences equipped me with the skills to plan and budget for events. I am confident in collaborating with the rest of the society to meet our goals and objectives within the given budget. There are many things I would like to do with PHSS, including:

• Outreach to students who may not be from health backgrounds and spread a greater appreciation for healthcare topics.
• Organise socials to improve the cohesiveness of PHSS and build an inclusive and welcoming community for existing and new members.
• Introduce a variety of events: volunteering sessions, collaborations (with other societies and schools), and more!

I look forward to being the treasurer of PHSS and believe it will be an exciting time for everyone!
