My name is Charlie and I am running for re-election for President of the Palaeontology Society. I believe that palaeontology can be used to help and inform the modern world, particularly in this time of uncertainty over the climate crisis and the species which may be affected by it.

I have been interested in palaeontology since I could just about walk. A passion which continues to this day, as I have chosen to study it for four years, under the watchful eye of the Deinonychus skeleton mounted in the Earth Sciences department. During my studies, I noticed that UCL didn’t have any clubs to do with palaeontology, so I thought “why don’t I make one?” So, with the help of some good friends, we established the palaeontology society!

Over the last year, I have helped coordinate and run numerous events for the palaeontology society. For instance, I have given talks, helped in workshops and led museum tours for the UCL student body in order to provide an avenue for people to explore their interests in all things related to the field of palaeontology.

With your help, I aim to continue on in this role for another academic year and hopefully grow the palaeontology society further. Thanks for your support!
