Over the course of the past year in UCL MMA, I have grown to love the society and the people in it. After serving as fight team lead I hope to extend my abilities to assist not just the fight team but the society as a whole. In running for general secretary, I hope this allows me to help develop the society further for members of every skill level and create more opportunities in the form of events, from socials to competitions.
My previous experience as fight team leader has helped prepare me for these responsibilities as it introduced me to the world of MMA through a fighter's lense, and these skills will help me excel in the role. Furthermore, with significant experience in organizing and leading teams in the past, mainly in the form of charity fundraising teams, I hope to put these organizational skills to use bringing the club to new heights.
