Maddie Small

Hi everyone! I’m Maddie and I study Politics, Sociology and Eastern European Studies.

As a non-law student hoping to pursue a future career in law, getting involved in the Law For All Society is something I am very excited about. I’m running for the role of Welfare and Volunteering Officer as I would love to help foster a welcoming space within the society as an approachable person and because I am passionate about volunteering.

I have several years of experience volunteering, including at food banks, refugee support organisations, and on a week long service trip to Tanzania. I was also the Volunteering Officer and Outreach Director for UCL’s United Nations Association over the past two years. These experiences have not only been rewarding, but have also given me the skills necessary to be a compotent and reliable Welfare and Volunteering Officer for the Law For All Society. If elected, I plan to organise various events with charities and organisations to further expand opportunities. Not only will these volunteering events be personally rewarding, but they will also develop teamwork, communication, and project management skills, all of which are essential for a future career in law.
