As some of you may know, I am an avid fan of the Tuesday Jams. I have been going regularly for the past 2 years and learned the ins and outs of Phineas jamming.

My main activity in the society until now was the role co-director/producer of the small show in term 2 of this year, where I got a lot of experience playing jazz, managing musicians, and (maybe most importantly), locating the equipment (believe me, it's not always where you expect it to be), moving it and setting it up.

In my role as Jam Manager, I will focus on keeping that inclusive, warm and vibrant atmosphere that makes the jam so special. I will look for the right balance between classic jam tunes and less common but equally fun standards, while obviously staying open to the musicians' preferences. After all, it's a jam, and you are the ones in charge of suggestions. I am merely a guide, bringing those suggestions to life, managing solos and steering the music to where we want it to be.

The jam has been such a fun experience, one of my favorites from my time at UCL, and that was largely thanks to the work of the Jam Manager. I want to make sure it remains equally fun, if not even better, for everyone participating in it.
