Naoki Parker

Hi, I'm Naoki. I’m half-Japanese, half-British, and raised in the UK.

I’m running for Secretary and Welfare Officer because I’d like to get involved not just in one section of the committee but all sections, as I’ve really enjoyed all aspects of the Japan society including the events, language lessons, and committee meetings. Getting to know all sorts of people who are all connected by their interest and passion for Japan has been great! 

As Secretary and Welfare Officer I will take lead during events and make sure they run smoothly. I will also assist other committee members when required such as helping with language lessons, organising events, and running meetings when the President can’t make meetings.

My experience in the society as a sub-committee member, level 3 language teacher, and level 2 senior teacher means I have knowledge of all sections of the society and how they are run. I also have a strong grasp on how to plan for events and which events are more popular with members.

My experience and passion in all aspects of the society mean I am fit for the Secretary and Welfare Officer role which demands versatility.
