Having joined as a total novice, I know it can be tricky finding confidence and motivation to get involved with something new.
As welfare officer I would just want to make sure everyone feels equally confident of their place within the club and happy to raise any concerns etc
(without wanting to sound too wet) I know the value of having someone in the club you can just have a chat with, make sure everything's going well because it can be overwhelming at times.
there's not a lot to it but it's pretty vital to having a team that functions as...a team.
(plus my connections in the SU might be able to wrangle ice club a whole £10 of actual funding for free food and such. so watch out for that)
