Dear fellow members,

By combining my experience as current First Year Representative and my motivation to lead this society, stemming from my passionate advocacy for the European Union and its values, I believe I am the ideal candidate to lead our society in the coming year. 

If elected, I will make it my priority to work closely with the committee and all members to achieve our goals. I will seek to organize engaging and informative events, from speaker series to panel discussions, that promote discussion and critical thinking on European issues.

Furthermore, I believe that our society should not operate in isolation from other societies and organizations. I will seek to further partnerships and collaborations with other societies on campus, as well as with external organizations such as European embassies or other European Horizons chapters. This allows us to expand our network, increase our impact, and provide more opportunities for our members.

In terms of concrete initiatives, I would like to establish an annual study trip to Brussels or other European capitals, where members can visit EU institutions, meet with officials, and gain first-hand experience of the EU's decision-making processes.

Finally, as President, I would also prioritize the expansion of the society's membership and outreach efforts. We must strive to engage with as many students and scholars as possible, in order to foster a vibrant and diverse community.
