Having trained in Taekwondo for many years, I understand and am passionate about the importance of maintaining personal wellbeing. As Taekwondo is a high intensity, contact sport, injuries are typically unavoidable. Being a medical student has given me some prior experience in first aid training and dealing with injuries.
Managing our mental health is also essential. As welfare officer, I would aim to be a friendly and approachable figure for anybody in the club talk with about difficulties  they may be facing. I will always do my best to give assistance or resolve any issues. Also, to help maintain personal wellbeing (especially before competitions), I would want to run yoga sessions. I have previously ran a yoga session for the club before the winter competition which seemed to be successful so it is something I would like to continue if I were welfare officer.

I believe that I am a dedicated individual and would always be there to support the team. My aim is to overall create a warm and welcoming environment to all members in the Taekwondo club, in order for us all to have a great experience training and competing this year.
