Kavan Singh Purewal

I am running for Sport Secretary as I believe there is a lot of potential and growth for the society from a sporting perspective. Over the past 2 years there has been a large increase in society members, this will allow for a broader range of sports and better consistency. I hope to make playing sports more inviting and open to everyone. This includes introducing new sports such as badminton, basketball and any other sports that members want to play and I hope to also introduce a woman’s football team if there is enough demand. I believe there is also potential to connect with other Sikh Societies in London and further afield, with aim to introduce a termly football tournament and a sports day. I believe with my organisation and social skills Sikh Society Sports next year will be bigger and better.
