Sexpression and everything it stands for, inspired me from the moment I took the SSC two years ago. It taught me more than I could have known, and I am passionate about broadening the society’s impact to continue empowering young people and making a positive difference in their lives. The role of VP provides great potential to expand the reach of the society through being able to manage the organisation of more events, and teaching opportunities. I believe I have the range of experience and skills to be an effective and creative VP.  This year, as CPO, I was responsible for ensuring all volunteers were safeguard trained and DBS checked. However, when I began my role, I knew I wanted to fully immerse myself in all aspects of the committee and learn about what it takes to run such a diverse society. Becoming a Project Leader gave me more responsibilities, such as completing the project plan, taking charge of the partnership agreement forms, and effectively communicating with the Volunteering Services, while working closely with the Treasurer and President to assist in completing any additional administration. As VP, I want to be a point of call for administration queries and welfare concerns for committee members and volunteers. For all the tasks that do not always have a clear or obvious person in charge, I am ready to get to grips with them quickly and efficiently, offering my support wherever necessary for the smooth running of the society.
