Thaina Matmati

The events organised by the society were by far my favourite this year. As a Psychology with Education student, I think it is important to have the space to engage with ideas that are relevant to our degree programme. The same is also true for students on other programmes. Both psychology and education are integral parts of our day-to-day lives and play a significant role in helping us understand how the world around us is shaped and how it shapes us in turn. I already have many event ideas that can offer a fun and welcoming atmosphere but also create a difference in the student experience. I think a balance of social events related to the society's themes and academic events will make the most difference in student lives and continue the amazing work that is already being done by the current committee. The society has enhanced my university experience and I would love to use the passion and dedication I have for both education and psychology to improve other students' experience.
