Hamna Malik

Salam, I am Hamna. I am running for the Welfare Officer’s position as I believe I can continue to spread the positivity and support provided by the former Welfare Officer. I understand that starting university and settling into a new environment can be overwhelming and stressful and therefore, I aim to make it more welcoming. I am an approachable person and I want to create an environment where anyone can freely and comfortably contact me regarding any problems or even just for a chat. It is important that everyone feels welcome and a sense of belongingness. I aim to listen to the needs of all members and create a comfortable environment for them.

The UCL Pakistan Society has been my family for the past two years and it has helped me transition into the university life, and I intend to do the same for others. In the past years, I really enjoyed going to the ‘gup shup’ sessions which I would continue to hold alongside other such events to keep everyone involved in the society. I would appreciate everyone’s support but regardless of the election results, I am still available if anyone wants any help or just to talk as well :)
