Hi everyone! I'm Izzy and I'm interested in being your Event Officer. I’m an Arts and Sciences student and (obviously) interested in everything museum-related! I particularly love any exhibitions related to fashion and languages.

The Event Officer is fundamental to the functioning of the Museums Society - the Society revolves around an extensive programme of engaging events for every type of museum-goer, and I want to be a driving force in providing this programme. I have extensive experience in organising weekly sessions due to my previous role as leader of my school's CCF Navy programme and this experience will serve me well in coordinating with museums to provide unique events.

I also want to focus on building strong partnerships with our local organisations in order to create a diverse array of potential events - one of my favourite events run by the Museums Society this year was the Courtauld digitisation volunteering, as it pushed me to volunteer regularly with the organisation in my own time - organising more events like this would be especially rewarding!

Fun facts!

1) I've studied Russian, so I love reading Soviet propaganda posters.

2) I am exactly the sort of person who would taste ancient tomb-food.

3) I have an irrational fear of mummies so you will never ever catch me in the mummies section of the British Museum...
