Election post
From late nights working on graphic design to organising events to promote the magazine- I can say with confidence that MODO has become my passion project and would be honoured to continue this journey as Editor in chief next year. In September I was lucky enough to become an Editing Executive of MODO and have worked closely with the current Editor (Sabrina). I am very familiar with the inner workings of the magazine and the hard work it takes and believe that this close understanding of the role brings me a unique advantage.
The major changes that I have implemented to MODO include:
⁃ Printing the MODO Magazine for the first time (and forming a relationship with the printing shop so we can do this for future editions)
⁃ Professional digital presentation of the magazine by using Issu rather than Google Slides
⁃ Focus on better graphic design quality and use of more professional programs like Adobe InDesign
I intend to carry on all of this and to form MODO into a professional, reputable student fashion magazine. I want to have a focus on creative freedom and include themes that everyone is interested in and listen to all opinions and feedback- for example by using a vote to choose the theme of the magazine. I also would place a strong emphasis on editing executives as I have loved my role this year and intend to carry this on.
